About Stephen

I work with individuals who have spent a lifetime perfecting the art of problem-solving, and who have come to recognise the limitations of treating themselves as a problem to solve. Many coaching approaches reinforce this - working from the premise that something needs fixing or changed. My approach is different and is grounded in phenomenology. It doesn't assume you need to add more or do more. Instead, it enables transformation to unfold naturally by uncovering what's already within you. For me, coaching is an invitation to slow down, attend to what is present, and make room for what wants to emerge. Before I became a coach, I spent over 25 years working in technology companies where I was valued and promoted for being able to solve problems and thrive under pressure. Eventually, I realised that the very thinking that made me successful was limiting me and putting me on the path to burnout. That realisation embarked me on a journey that led me to phenomenology.

The directory simply lists members who have chosen to be publicly findable. The Virtual Coaching Circle does not endorse, recommend, or vouch for any individual coach, and inclusion here is not an assessment of a coach's suitability for your needs. Choosing a coach — and any working relationship that follows — is entirely your own decision.
